Mount Rinjani is estimated to reach an altitude of 5,000m above sea level. Mount Rinjani is the deposition of sedimentary rocks, which further during the Pleistocene (< 1.8 Million Years Ago) occurs volcanic activity, as a result of the ongoing volcanic tectonic symptoms, can break out to the surface the form of the eruption or lava.

Historical eruptions of Mount Rinjani began in 1847 until 2004, has nine times ranging erupted inside the caldera, while the crater of Mount Rinjani had never recorded eruption.
